SOCIALIGHT, is a social skills group for kids, teens & young adults.

Our mission is to create a safe and supportive learning environment that will help foster and develop the necessary skill set needed to thrive in social settings.

ASSESSMENT

An assessment will be conducted to determine the appropriate group placement, ensuring that participants can collaborate effectively and work together toward similar goals.

GROUP
FORMAT

The program includes ten sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours, conducted weekly at a designated center as well as some community based outings. These sessions are designed to help participants learn and practice essential social skills in a supportive environment. Each session builds on the previous one, ensuring participants develop a comprehensive and well-rounded skillset.

MEMBER
EXPECTATIONS

Attendance and active participation are crucial for the success of each member. Before enrolling, caregivers and members should commit to attending all ten sessions. Additionally, members will have practice assignments to complete outside the group sessions. It is the responsibility of both caregivers and members to ensure these assignments are completed on time.

What We Do

SOCIALIGHT’s main goal is to utilize evidence based strategies to provide a valuable skill set that can be implemented in everyday life.

Teaching techniques are based on the principles of behavior analysis. This is a proven science that has shown to be an effective treatment for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related disorders.

Our groups are designed to teach necessary social skills that build meaningful relationships. Assessments will be used to ensure the curriculum is structured to fit the needs of the group. We tackle topics such as conversations, bullying, rejection, listening behavior, self-advocacy, and compromise.
